Flowery Fun Times with Nursery Rhymes

Nursery rhymes play a significant role in our life as Emma loves stories, rhymes and music. Thus, I was thrilled to read about the "Flowery Fun Times with Nursery Rhymes". Since Emma is in love with the characters and rhymes, I thought it'd be an educational and fun trip for her.

With courtesy of Gardens by the bay, our family spent a lovely morning at the city garden 2 weeks back. The morning started off with a photoshoot with Cloud Productions over the the flower dome and other parts of the garden.

After the photoshoot and an early lunch, we went back to explore the little details of the wonderland. This time, Emma was even more excited and roaming around like a free bird.

First stop, we met a serious nursery rhymes reader at the entrance. Hi, Mother goose!

We headed straight to the garden trail as that's where all the characters display are! We saw the old grandmother's shoe house.

Emma shouted egg! Yes, it's Humpty Dumpty, I replied and sang the rhymes. Since then, I guessed she had been practising hard as she said Humpty Dumpty few days back.

Moving on, she looked intensely and wondered a while before she spotted the little lamb.

Oh, it's Mary and her little lamb - one of Emma's favourite rhymes! They were learning numbers and alphabets.

She said good bye to "meh meh" and went to meet many more animals.

Moo moo! Emma shouted again!

How can she not love this "old macdonald's farm? The animals are so cute.

Love this close up shot of the rooster that Hubby take!

She then pointed to the sheeps and started baa baa-ing.

Other than the all-time favourites English rhymes, there were also rhymes in other languages!

Here's one with the elephant in Tamil.

How about some mangoes? They look so yummy!

What a gigantic ant! I learnt a new cute malay nursery rhymes.

You might not be able to spot it, but Emma's shoes have a bee on one side and butterfly on the other. Thus, the whole time, she was pointing to her shoes and beeeeee.

小蜜蜂 was my favourite when I was young! I should probably start teaching Emma this Chinese song too!

The craftwork is really impressive. Good job to the crafters and landscaper!

Next up is an interesting one! The 泥娃娃 (clay dolls) are made of flower pots. Emma stood by the side patiently and asked them for some tea.

Needless to say, we (and Emma especially) have enjoyed ourselves! It's certainly an eye opener for Emma and a great place for the family to hang out.
